Building hearts that are fully committed to Christ and others

Missions

For mission purposes we participate in and support the International Mission Board (IMB) and the North American Mission Board (NAMB) of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC).  The IMB is our missionary sending agency of the SBC.  Presently there are over 5,200 career missionaries serving around the world.  Additionally, each year over 200,000 people serve as short term (one week – six months) volunteers along side of our career missionaries.  CHBC has sent church members as volunteers to Haiti, Peru, Mexico, and Asia.  For more information on the IMB, visit their web site

As Southern Baptists, we are also committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ within North America.  Every day, four new Southern Baptist Churches are started somewhere in North America.  Presently we have over 5000 career missionaries serving in numerous capacities around North America.  The third largest relief agency in North America is the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.  Only the Red Cross and the Salvation Army are larger.  In the last year, Southern Baptists have volunteered over 150,000 days of service for relief efforts.  For more information please visit the NAMB web site.
